After suspending a Windows 7 VM running under Parallels Desktop 11 for Mac (Version 11.1.2 (32408)), then restarting the Mac host (MacBook Pro Retina late 2013 running OS X El Cap v10.11.3), when attempting to restart the VM i received the following message box:
"Unable to resume this virtual machine because it was suspended in a newer version of your Parallels software.
Do you want to restart the virtual machine to be able to use it in this version? Note: If you restart the virtual machine now, all unsaved data will be lost."
Parallels support was *spectacularly* unhelpful, and I finally just restarted the VM and accepted the lost data.
    Anyone else had this error?
Parallels had not been updated recently, and the VM had been started recently.

Hi, did you have any snapshots or backups to restore the data?
    And did the issue reoccurs?
