I have a Windows XP Pro 32 bit VM (pvm file) that was created in my Parallels 7 (7.0.15107) running on a Mac Mini (Mac OS 10.7). I then copied the Windows XP VM over to my Macbook Pro that is running a trial version of Parallels 8 (8.0.18494.886912). My Macbook Pro is running Mac OS 10.8.4. The Windows XP VM works fine in Parallels 8. But I have created about 3 snapshots and I cannot revert back to any of them. When I try and revert back to a prior snapshot I get the error "Unable to revert to this snapshot. Problem ID 54". I called into technical support for this issue yesterday and spent about a hour on the phone with a tech. He remoted over and tried a few things. He deleted all of my snapshots and then tried creating some new ones. But even the new snapshots cannot be reverted to. I do development work and the snapshot function is a big deal for me. At this point I am not too impressed with the version 8 of Parallels. Are there known issues with using a VM (pvm) file created in Parallels 7 with Parallels 8? Is there any kind of tool that can do a integrity check of VM (PVM) file? I have also tried rebooting my Mac and rebooting my Windows XP Pro 32 bit VM. None of this has helped. Any other thoughts?
