Hello, I'm currently evaluating Virtual Desktop Server, but I am unable to make it work properly. I've installed it on a Windows Server 2008 enterprise sp2, 32 bit version. On the same server, I've installed VMWare Server. Using VMWare Server, I've created a Windows XP virtual machine. Using the 2x client (installed on the same server) I've been able to use the virtual desktop on the XP VM. But whenever I try to run a published application, I get the following error: -------------------------- Code [02/00000006] The client could not establish a connection to the remote computer. The most likely causes for this error are: 1) The servers are too busy to service your request. 2) The machine is not part of the farm. --------------------------- The log doesn't report any error, so I'm not able to figure out what's wrong. The only thing I notice is that the "Publish from" tab of the published application doesn't show anything in both lists, whereas the Virtual Desktop has the server itself in the "Individual hosts" list, as well as a host group I've created just for testing in the other list. What am I doing wrong? Any help please? Thanks
I am receiving this error when connecting from other networks. From the local network this works fine. I have 2 IPSEC connections and clients on the other end of these links are unable to run applications in this portal. Full windows 2008 R2 environment. In another farm I have that is a single 2003 server with terminal server installed, the published applications work fine. In the terminal server event logs I am seeing: Code 04/000000FF Failed to get session info 0
if from one network you cannot connect and from another you can then it is more likely to be a firewall issue. are you able to list all the application from the non working network? if yes ensure that the connection mode is set to gateway, in this way all traffic will pass fromport 80
