Unable to use Steam / windows reported no product key found on device

    Hey Parallels! I have been experiencing a problem where I cannot open Steam games on parallels recently. Quite simply, when I click a game to open it (or Steam itself), nothing happens.

    Perhaps relatedly, I have had a small message on the bottom right of my parallels desktop when I open it telling me to activate windows.

    In the system settings, it tells me "No product key was found on my device" with the error code 0xC004F213. When I click "change product key", it brings me to a screen to enter a 25-digit long product key, but my license key on my Parallels account is 30 digits long.

    The windows desktop within Parallels offers me the option of purchasing a "genuine" copy of windows, but that's another $135 and has not been necessary in the past.

    If you are facing an issue with Steam games , for us to further investigate the technical issue, kindly provide us with the following information:
    1. What are the different games that you are unable to open.
    2. Screenshot of error message you are receiving (if any).
    3. Collect a technical report (right-click Parallels icon in Dock > Help > Send technical data > check "Attach screenshots..." > press Send Report) and provide us with the report's 9-digit ID in reply to this post.

    So I've done several windows updates on Parallels (it seems I somehow got pretty far behind) and Steam and its associated games work again. I was never getting error messages; quite simply, the clicking the Steam icon or any games on the desktop literally did nothing.

    I'd still be curious if there's any license key for windows I should be using regardless of the other (now resolved) issues.

    FWIW I'm not experiencing any problems anymore! Thanks for the reply!
