I'm running Win 7 on my MacBook Air installed in the following order...

Parallels 7 followed by Windows 7 and the computer seems to run fine. Very happy with this configuration.

So happy that I then installed Par7 on my iMac which has been running Win7 via Bootcamp only for nearly 2 years.

In this configuration, I then installed Par7 which automatically recognized my Bootcamp Win 7. While initially I like this operation also, I've come to the conclusion that it's just not as smooth as my MBA setup.

I am considering removing Par7 from the iMac. If I were to do so, would it mess up my present Win7 setup in ANY way? I DON'T want to have to reinstall Win 7 mainly because I don't want to mess up my MS Office setup with all my present files.

Can I just delete Par7 without interring with Win7 on the iMac?

If I'm reading your question correctly, you have Windows 7 installed in a Boot Camp partition. If you delete Parallels, the BC partition will still run just as usual. If you wanted to completely remove Parallels, you'd also need to uninstall Parallel tools from the BC Windows installation. You can do that with the iMac booted into Windows (from Boot Camp) or you can do it from Parallels before you uninstall it.
