In the process of cleaning up a computer prior to a major backup, I uninstalled an old version of WordPerfect (X3) using Revo Uninstaller. After my husband discovered he hated the equation editor in WP X5, I reinstalled X3. Now, nothing works. We can't open a single Windows program, not even Explorer. It's even hard to restart the vm without using Parallels to Stop it. The system has slowed down to an incredible degree. I've never experienced this kind of problem with Parallels. I'm running Apple 10.6.8 with Parallels 6.0.12092. We're running Windows XP Pro with no intention of EVER upgrading the Windows OS. I found that later versions of Parallels 6 did not play well with XP Pro, seeming to have been written for Win Vista or 7. I do have a week-old clone of the Windows guest system, but my husband needs to recover some files from the current vm. However, I don't see how that's going to happen, given that we can't open Explorer, etc. Help! TobyT
