Background: I'm a Mac novice (an old Windows/DOS/UNIX hand) who just got
a new Macbook Pro with Parallels and Windows XP. I just tried to open the parallels desktop, and got "Operating System Too Old. The installed MacFUSE version is too new for the operating system. Please downgrade MacFUSE installation ..."
This is all Greek to me, so ...
I notice a) MacFUSE is not in the manual's index,
b)the Parallels forums treat it as a standard item, except a search on the term yields zilch. [I mean, a while back I saw a thread, but searching on "MacFUSE" yields nothing.]
    c) On the Parallels Desktop, at Help, doing a search on MacFUSE yields nothing.
    d) The manual, on page 7, says that after registration you can submit a
"FREE support request", but I went to the webpage and there was no way, in reality,
    to do that.
So I'm stuck. A heck of a thing for a Mac novice who needs answers desperately. I don't want to spend $ on telephone support. Sigh. This is atrocious, in my opinion.
Does anyone know a good place for an explanation of wht the thing is,
    and how to "downgrade" it?
Any help will be much appreciated.

I still resent the a,b,c, and d in the above post.
However, for the record, I did find a solution (that means no more warnings
and suggestions to "downgrade", when I use Parallels to access Win XP).
    The solution is to upgrade.
For details (if you're a total absolute novice like me, especially)
