I am running Parallels 7 with windows 7 on a 2011 vintage Mac Book Pro with Mac OS 10.7.5. I feel forced to upgrade my Mac OS as Safari is no longer supported and crashing frequently. I understand that I need at least Parallels 10 to run Mac OS 10.11.5. I have purchased Parallels 11 and would like to install Mac OS 10.11.5 but continue running Windows 7 and the windows programs that I have. Is this possible? If so, what is the install sequence: Mac OS first or Parallels 11 first? Once Parallels 11 is installed do I have to reinstall Windows if it is already installed and working? Thank you
Hello joseM6, 1. Yes, it is possible to upgrade your Mac OS X into 10.11.5 and install Parallels Desktop 11 for Mac. 2. You have to upgrade your Mac OS X first, and then install Parallels Desktop 11 for Mac. 3. You may need not to reinstall Windows 7 virtual machine. We strongly recommend you to back up your Windows 7 virtual machine before you upgrade your Mac OS X
