Upgrade to PD4 & Windows 7?

  1. I currently have Vista running in Parallels Version3 (latest build).

I would like to upgrade to Parallels version4 as well as Windows 7 beta. I'm wondering if I should just upgrade to Parallels Version 4 first, then upgrade my current Vista installation to Windows 7 beta.

Yes, I could install in a separate VM, but I really need to test it and as far as I'm concerned, the only way to accomplish this is to use it for production work.

My "plan b" option in case things go badly is to make a copy of my Vista VM and just copy it back on and then reinstall Parallels Version 3.

    Any thoughts?

Either you upgrade PDM or not, clone the Vista VM and upgrade the clone keeping the old VM too, simple.
