I've been running Vista Home Premium in Parallels for about 2 years and find the performance too slow to my liking. I'm wondering what the procedure is to dump Vista and then install Windows 7?

In this operation, can I keep Parallels or will I have to reinstall that before I can install Windows 7?

Keep parallels and vista for now. Just install windows 7 as a second virtual machine, so you can always go back in case of a problem. I did the mistake to upgrade from windows xp to seven, and now I cannot access my Quickbooks files. I get a frustrating error 6176.
