When I updated my Mac to Mavericks, it killed Parallels. At that time I no longer had a need to run a Windows program, so rather than upgrade I deleted Parallels. However, in the near future I will need to use the application Microsoft Publisher. Vestiges of Parallels 7 remain on my Mac because the icon association with some specific apps still reflect that those apps will open in Parallels. I do have my activation code for Parallels 7, but how do I upgrade when Parallels is no longer on my computer and wouldn't start even if it were?

    Hi @Maxxie,

We would like to inform you that customers who are using Parallels Desktop 2/3/4/5/6/7 for Mac are not eligible for upgrade pricing for Parallels Desktop 10 for Mac.
Parallels stopped support and maintenance for Parallels Desktop 7 for Mac with the release of Parallels Desktop 10 for Mac.
To take advantage of all the new features of Parallels Desktop 10 for Mac, you will need to purchase a full copy of Parallels Desktop 10 for Mac on our website:
    http://www.parallels.com/products/desktop/
For more information on Parallels End-of-Life (EOL) Policy Statement please refer to the following KB article:
    http://kb.parallels.com/122643

Also because of the Parallels Desktop 7 compatibly you cannot use it on Mavericks OS, for more information about compatibility you may check this article
Except for that you can purchase the Parallels Desktop 8 or 9, but in order to buy one of the previous versions you need to contact one of our official resellers, because after the release of Parallels Desktop 10 we stop selling the previous version from Parallels website.
Please let us know if you have any additional questions.
