Upgrading my Mac from Tiger to Snow Leopard and Parallels Desktop from v2.5 to v5

    Hello everyone,

I have an Intel Core 2 Duo iMac and I am currently running OSX 10.4.11 Tiger and Parallels Desktop v2.5 (with a Windows XP Guest OS) but I am hoping to upgrade my iMac to OSX 10.6 Snow Leopard.

    Now my questions start here...
Should I upgrade Parallels to v5 before the operating system from 10.4.11 to 10.6 or the operating system first?

Also, to confuse things further I was actually hoping to give my iMac a good clean up and start again fresh when I install 10.6 Snow Leopard (it does need it) which would mean wiping Parallels v2.5 off my machine. So, would I then have to re-install v2.5 after the operating system upgrade (is this even possible when v2.5 isn't compatible with 10.6?) and then upgrade to Parallels v5 or would I have to buy v5 new.
Seeing as I already have v2.5 and there is a cheaper upgrade option to v5 is there any way I could still take advantage of the cheaper upgrade from v2.5 to v5?

Hope that all makes sense and I greatly appreciate any help you can give.
    Regards,
    Si

Does anyone know if I should upgrade Parallels first from v2.5 to v5 or the operating system from Tiger 10.4.11 to Snow Leopard 10.6?
