Is it possible to upload a file from the client to the application server to a fixed folder through 2x Application server XG?

    Thanks,

    Hi jpc,

Thanks for your reply. Does the 2xfileuploader require \\tsclient\c to be accessible from the server? Sometimes, the local drives (\\tsclient) are not accessible from the server even if they have been made available in the 2x client. This typically happens if a user has disconnected and his session is still active on the server. We then have to manually close the print spooler and vds services. After this the drives become visible again in File Explorer on the server. In some cases, we also do not want the client to be able to view all their drives on the server and vice versa.

Is there a client like 2x client that can be used to separately log into the server and transfer files from the client to the server and vice versa.

    thanks,
    svk

In my experience the best way to do this is to simply publish a shortcut to a share the user has access to, then you can drag and drop,copy/paste, whatever. Just verify the client policy is set to connect drives.

    Hi,

I just created a FTP site for transferring the files back and forth between the server and the client. I have added just basic authentication and will give read and write accesses to the folder using IIS settings. Am I overlooking any basic security holes in this setup ?

    Thanks,

I would suggest using FTPS if you can to ensure credentials and data security during transfer especially if it will be on a public-facing server.
