I upgraded to build 3170 (and to latest Tools version), before the upgrade Parallels had been rock solid, now I am not able to access the internet or my mapping drive. I have an iMac 24" I bought last month. This is my working computer so I really need to get thi sback as before (internet and access the map drive ASAP). So I think it is not seeing the router. I deleted and installed 1970 and tools but have the same problem, also I had to re-registered Windows (by phone because I couldn't do it online). Any ideas? The network option in Tools is grayed out, though ouside, in VP options it's enabled. TIA!!!
firstly, 3186 is the latest release, 3170 was the previous release candidate. Look under the download menu option above for 3186. To install, UNINSTALL the 3170 app first, then install 3186, then reboot. if problems persist, then shout back.. usually if there is a prob, simply going into Sysprefs > Network and acknowledging the new networking interfaces and rebooting again will fix any other problems...
Correct I have 3186. Under Parallels Tools Center, Network Driver is Disable, but when I click on the icon (bottom right) it says connected - Default Adapter. I am not even able to connect to my router. I am at a loss, when I got my iMac and installed Parallesl eveything worked from the get go, after the upgrade I am unable to connect to the Internet. I did not change anything, just the upgrade. What should I look for?
So, just fix it. Everything is working perfect. Went to Control Panel, System, Device Mgr. Netrwork adapters had a !, I deleted the adapter and refreshed. Done. The Realtek Adapter was installed, and everything works. MJC
