    Hi,

I am running Windows XP under parallels 4.0 on a late 2008 macbook. When i plug in a usb 2.0 device, the device only connects as a usb 1.1 device, instead of a 2.0 device, and i get a bubble saying "this device could perform faster if it were plugged into a hi-speed usb port" in XP. The ports on my computer are usb 2.0 ports. Why isn't parallels connecting the devices to the usb 2.0 ports? I really need the usb device to be recognized as a 2.0 device, because it is a data acquisition device, and the sampling rate needs to function at 2.0 speeds. Does anyone have any ideas? It is kind of urgent, because I need to have this working by early next week.

    Thanks in advance
    -Evan

    Hello Evan,

Kindly perform a uninstall and reinstall of USB controllers by following the below mentioned steps :

    1. Click Start, click Run, type sysdm.cpl in the Open box, and then click OK.
    2. Click the Hardware tab.
    3. Click the Device Manager button.
    4. Expand Universal Serial Bus controllers.
    5. Right-click every device under the Universal Serial Bus controllers node, and then click Uninstall to remove
    them one at a time.
    6. Restart the computer, and then reinstall the USB controllers.
    7. Plug in the removable USB storage device, and then test to make sure that the issue is resolved.
