Hi there, our setup uses 2X for both Apps publishing via terminal servers and have virtual desktops hosted in a Hyper-V server. Currently we noticed that 2X's URL redirection works if the URL links are trigerred within the apps hosted on the terminal servers. However, when the links are trigerred within a virtual desktop the URL links are not redirected to the local PC. Is this a known issue for virtual desktops? In addition, due to the poor video and highly animated webpages when accessed over the internet, we intend to totally disable the use of internet browsers and media player within the virtual desktops. Hence, its CRITICAL for URL redirection to work for virtual desktops and it would be good if 2X could provide ways to whitelist certain intranet domains/urls so that such pages will not be redirected to the local PCs.
what version of the client and of the client are you using right now? I have tried the url redirection off virtual machines and it works just fine.
I read an article about hosted virtual desktop software from Cisco. I don’t know how it is different from others as I found its interface and functionality similar to other software present in market.
