I'm running the latest Parallels Desktop version 12.2.0 on a mid2015 Macbook Pro. I'm trying to get the a Signalhound spectrum analyzer (https://signalhound.com/products/bb60c/) working through a USB 3.0 connection to my Windows 10 VM. My hardware setup is I've plugged in the Signalhound SA to a USB 3 hub (https://www.anker.com/products/68ANHUB-B14A) and the hub into my MBP USB 3 port. The Signalhound device connects and remains stable when connected to OS X. (I can also see it under the USB devices in System Report). I do have USB 3 support turned on in preferences for all my VM's (Windows 10, Ubuntu, Windows XP). Now the problem: Whenever I connect the device to any of my VM's the connection light on the hub starts blinking on and off every few seconds as if the device is being ejected periodically. Its not OS specific since it occurs for all 3 VM's. There isn't any mention of it being detected as a USB device in Ubuntu so I assume it never even made it to the enumeration phase. Also all the VM's start consuming lots of CPU cycles which can only be resolved by unplugging the device from the hub. I've used this USB 3 hub for lots of other USB devices so I don't suspect thats the problem. I'm looking for any similar experiences or suggestions on where to look for a log file or other data on what might be happening under the hood. Thanks for any ideas here.

Hi @DMcIntire, we recommend you to install the USB 3.0 driver in Windows 10 virtual machine and follow this article to fix the issue.

Thank you for the reply. I saw that posting when looking previously but it was pretty old and applied only to earlier versions of Parallels Desktop. I just tried updating the Windows 10 driver and making the change to the XML file. I also got rid of the hub and connect directly to the MBP USB 3 ports. In this configuration it's now staying connected and the app is displaying SA data. Not sure which of the two was the culprit, but thanks again for the help.
