I installed parallels to run windows 7, which is does fabulously, no complaints at all in that regard . The newest version has a cool feature when you plug in a USB device it pops up a pretty slick looking screen and asks whether you want it mounted to the host os or one of your guests. It's worked great so far. My issue is that once I shut down parallels my computer won't mount ANY usb devices anymore. If I plug my iPod in nothing! I can manually mount it from a command line, but lets be honest, if I wanted my computer to work that way I would just use Linux haha. Once I restart parallels the fancy pop up comes back and everything works as expected. Anyone else had this issue and/or know how to fix it? I work on battery power a LOT, and I'd really rather not leave parallels running 24/7 when I only need windows once or twice a month... Thanks for any help ! Hawstel
