I have a new MacBookPro Core Duo with OSX 10.4.9 and a Nokia E71 USB cable.
The Parallels is version 3188. Installed guest OS Windows 2000 SP4.
My mission is to update E61 phone firmware via the PC suite, thus USB
Anyone who has this, and made it work, please tell how.

Nokia E61 pops's up at the parallels USB icon (and also identified as E61). Mark it as chosen.
The guest OS (W2K SP4) also identifies a new USB device, E61, and installs it.
Everything looks fine. No visible error messages whatsoever.

Then there is no connection or communication Phone via the USB.
Tried the Nokia PC suite, that times out.

Inside the guest OS, if one rightclicks in on the USB properties, it says something about a "code 10" error for the USB device.

    I did try this, http://www.macosxhints.com/article.php?story=2007040404355956
    without any success.

Any help to solve this would be much appreciated.
