I have 2 usb thumbdrives that are not playing nice w/ parallels. When given the option, I pass them to the VM and they never show up. This is the case on 2 separate macs I have running different OS version (both host and guest). One is a MBP running 10.5.6 host and XP pro guest, another a Black MB running 10.6 host and WIN 7 guest.

This is not what you think... I've been through the "delete usb under device manager & VM configuration" route a dozen times, other drives show up. It's specific to these drives (both are variations on super-talent's pico drives, one at 2gb the other at 4gb). The real rub is that when I boot into xp and win7 via bootcamp, they are recognized right away. Under win7 they are rated as ready boost compatible. Perhaps it is a compatibility issue with these high speed drives?

Anyway it is very frustrating that the best thumb drives I have available to me are having compatibility issues in Parallels. I have to say that the general bugginess of usb under Parallels 4 is very disappointing. I wonder if VMware has these issues... ;)
