    Hi...

I'm really struggling to get pretty much any device recognised through my USB ports in Windows (via Parallels).

It seems that my Mac has total control over the USB ports.

Is there anything I can do to check or find out exactly what the problem is...???

    Thanks in advance.

I don't see anything... cameras, PDA's etc... windows just acts like nothing happened. No sound when I plug in a USB device... nothing.

For example, when I plug in a USB digital camera when I'm n Windows under parallels, Aperture in Mac OSX starts up instead....

My blackberry 8100 doesn't get recognised either....

so you plug the device in, then you have to go to Devices in the (osx) menubar, then under USB select the device you want to "virtually" connect to windows.

Or, edit your configuration and select Autoconnect On, under the USB settings.

Ok. Under 'devices' on the mac osx menubar, I don't even have a USB option... I have,

    floppy
    cd/dvd
    network adapter
    sound
    shared folders

    Any thoughts...?
