Build 5608 German version Mac OSX 10.5.3 First - sorry for my english My Polar IrDA adapter USB 2.0 do not work. When I put the adapter in, it was not merged. All other usb devices run perfectly. What can I do?
Guest OS = WinXP Home edition drivers are all install, I can see it in C/windows/usb 2.0 IrDA No error - nothing when I connect it to guest os.
It seems to me that the problems are not related to Virtual Machine only http://forum.polar.fi/showthread.php?p=1371
Still a problem in P4 - BootCamp Works I have upgraded to Parallel 4 on a new Macbook Air (128GB SSD NVidia chipset) and I have to report that the Polar USB 2 IrDA doesn't work any more. Now it was working in P3, but I only had it for a few days before upgrading. The red LED comes on solid, rather than pulsing. If I sleep from the Vista menu and then resume, then the LED starts pulsing, but unfortunately it still doesn't connect. I am running Vista 32 Business from a Boot Camp partition. If I boot via Boot Camp then it works fine, so I know it is a P4 issue. I did report this as a ticket.
I have the same problem in that the Polar UBS IR device cannot be "installed" on the XP Pro Parallels "machine". The message I get is "Unable to connect the USB device to your virtual machine. The device cannot be connected now. Please try again later." Here is my setup: Mac mini running OSX 10.6.6, Build 10J567, 2.66 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4 GB Ram Parallels 6.0.11992, Revision 625164 (not using bootcamp) Windows XP PRO, ver 2002 ,Service Pack 3 I downloaded the most recent XP drivers from Polar USA (as of Feb 17, 2011) I have restarted the XP machine since the driver installation. Since Parallels is a new installation for me this has never worked. Any help would be appreciated
