I have an Agere USB modem that Windows XP recognized and I installed the drivers, but it doesn't work. In the modem panel when I query the modem it says it's not working. It says it attached to COM3, but I'm not sure how I create COM3 in Parallels. I don't know why it skipped COM2. I created a serial port, socket, server, but I don't know how to connect to it. I'm clearly confused. I was successfully using an Apple USB modem which was connected to COM1 (via a serial socket setup I found on these forums. Why am I switching? A long story...) How do I proceed?
