I'm a developer for a point of sale terminal that requires updates over serial cable. I haven't yet tested other cables, however the USB to Serial cable from Fujitech doesn't work very well under the latest version of Parallels for mac. Under VMWare I am able to use full 115k baud rate, while under Parallels only 56k is possible.. And worse off.. My burning of the POS terminal takes about an hour vs minutes under vmware..
