Hi, according to the Parallels Desktop virtualization limitation we can share the printer from Mac to Windows, but we have no option to share it from Windows.

I have a greater problem: A device that was recognized on Windows 7 x64 on a PC is not recognized on Windows 7 x64 on MacBook Pro or Mac mini (both very current) running Parallels. I was using the Canon DR-2580C scanner for many years under Windows 7 without difficulty. It was and remains my favorite scanner. When my PC died and I decided to venture to Mac and install Parallels 11.1.1 with Windows 7 Professional, I was only able to install the Canon software (which would run but would not recognize the Canon scanner). I went to the Canon website to download any drivers and related updates (I installed the ones under Windows 10 x64). I restarted the computer, but all the same, the scanner was not and has never been recognized. What is preventing recognition?

Does this still hold true with Parallels 12? I have a need share a printer that is installed on my Windows 10 VM with my Mac. Is this possible?

Yes, it is true that according to the Parallels Desktop virtualization limitation we can share the printer from Mac to Windows, but we have no option to share it from Windows. So, it is not possible to share a printer that is installed on your Windows 10 with your Mac.
