Ive been running an old version of Parallels: upgraded to version 17.1.0 (51516) two weeks ago. Workied fine initially until a couple of days ago

Now copying (e.g. Excel data or a URL address in Opera) in the Virtual Window results in the spinning beachball of death and a further minute or so delay after the beachball disappears before the system unfreezes. Copy works fine in the Mac partition.

    Tried On Mac

    Diagnostics tools (hold down D)
Increased Parallels 2GB & 2 processors to 4GB & 4 processors

    On PC
Chkdsk
Defrag
Tweaking paging file Opening View Resource monitor before screen freezes but nothing apparent from the screen display.

Ive now updated to 17.1.1 {51537) but same problem. I don't know if it's co-incidence but the problem started after turning on Parallels "Take a break" suggestion.

Despite changing Parallel settings to Start Up / Shut Down manually, and selecting not to open Parallels when restarting, it still Auto Runs
