Just receied my first MAC and have installed Parallels and Win XP Home on my login without any issues. I have now created a new user account on the Mac for my wife who also wants to use Windows. I can see Parallels OK but when I click on it it asks me to install Windows XP.

Do I have to do another install or am I missing a trick somewhere?

I believe this has happened because the VMs get installed in your User directory/Library/Parallels/WinXP. If you created a new user account for your wife, there would be no such file there because it is specific to YOUR user account. I do not know if you can copy the VM to her user account or not. I suspect that, legally, you would have to install another licensed copy of XP, but I'm not sure. Perhaps someone else can answer that for you. Can the VM you created be stored in the computer's Library folder using a similar path and then be accessible to ALL users? Just a thought. I've never tried it.
