Just bought a new MacBook Pro, 15-inch, 2.33GHz I just installed Parallels and I love it and especially to be back on a Mac after ten miserable years on a PC. My PC Software worked well. I seem to be doing fine with the exception of being able to increase the size of my hard drive on the PC side. I followed the directions on the Mac side and used the image tool. It says it increased. I bought a new copy of Windows XP Professional for the PC and Mac Side. When I go into System tools – Disk Management and it tells me that it did increase: I don’t think this is a Paralles problem but because I can’t get rid of the partition and put the two partitions into one. Disk 0 Basic 15.62 Online Then it gives me two Partitions The first I installed was a Typical Virtual Machine Patsmacpc (C.) drive 7.0 GB NTFS Healthy (System I then changed over to a Custom Virtual Machine as I need more room on the PC side The second partition says 7.82 GB Unallocated This is obviously the area of my increase, the second partition didn’t increase my hard drive size and I need it to be added to the first to have one large partition I can increase at will. I only want one partition. I would like to be able to increase the size of the memory as well. Can you help me do this. I read about XP having a dynamic disk but they say not to use it on a partable and I am afraid of losing my work. I emailed Microsoft and they told me to go to Mac support. I don’t have an email to contact anyone and I am in Mexico for another week and need the machine for work.
