I have two printers connected to my mac, and would like to be able to use them both from Windows (XP Professional in my case). The main (default) printer connects fine, but I am having problems with the second printer - an HP 4MP using an ethernet print server. This second printer is OK from the mac. I have set up Printer Port 2 in Parallels, using the 4MP as a source. I have used the Windows printer wizard to set up the 4MP as lpt2 (I have also tried lpt3), and installed the Windows driver for it. When I first set up the printer, the test page prints OK, but next time I try to print a test page, the printer data light flashes to indicate it is receiving, but nothing gets printed and I get a message (from the Mac, not Windows) saying "Printing Parallels Print Job. This document does not conform to the Adobe Document Structuring Convention, and may not print correctly." I get the same message and no printing when I try to print from a Windows application. At any time, I can get the 4MP to print correctly if I configure it on Parallels Printer port 1 and print from the Windows application as "Use Mac printer". Does anybody have any idea what might be wrong?
