While trying to play a LAN multiplayer Counter Strike 1.6 game, I could not find the servers from which my friends were hosting.
Several other instances of not being able to use the inbuilt wifi card but a connection that is first linked to mac system and then to parallels have occurred, like unable to do ARP Poisoning using Cain and Abel. There seems to be some sort of restriction.
All I want to ask is whether I can use a separate network for the parallels system or that I have to share it with the mac's ? Also, as Virtual machines have it, do I need an external wifi card to achieve this?

You can directly control USB devices in a virtual machine, so yeah, if you have a USB wifi card.
