I have a macBook Pro. I have Parallels Desktop running Windows Vista. I have upgraded everything I can think of and every time I try to play an instant movie I get a Video Driver Error, called netflix and they don't know what to do. please help
Please check system requirements for Video Player. If it requires 128 mb video memory, than probably you will not be able to play movies as Parallels Desktop currently allows only 64mb video memory
The reason why you are getting the video driver error is because of the Parallels video driver. If you go to device manager and go to display adapters, right click on parallels video driver and click on Update Driver Software. This will find the VGA video driver and update to that video driver. This will resolve your issue.
i recently contacted netflix and it turns out the problem is with the driver for the video, the s3g driver needs to be updated.they had me click on run, then type in dxdiag, then click ok,click on the display tab, this will tell you what driver version you have and the date of it,then you can go to s3g's web site,it is www.s3graphics.com, and update your driver, this took care of my problem.
I have the same problem with Netflix video driver. I tried the solutions in post # 3 and 4. They did not work for me. My Parallels video driver is only a few days old. S3 site gives no indication of what driver would be the right one. Solution 3 using update driver said it could not find a driver. Wins3 chip identifier said it found no valid hardware. I have Parallels 4 with latest tools installed. Anyone have suggestions? I could watch Netflix movies in an earlier version of Parallels, but now cannot.
