I have a macbook with 2 gh and 2gb. I recently updated to the latest parallels version and installed the latest vista business edition.I tried all the tricks to make it run faster by disabling services like the theme or activating the best performance, but the video streaming is kind of glitchy and so is the sound. Is there anyone who have faced the same problem and found a work around. I really feel like I can't use the guest os right now.

I have not really played with Vista in Parallels yet, however I remember that both video and sound was horrendously slow in Parallels under the first bunch of drivers (versions of Parallels Tools) that they went through.

Wait a few version numbers then try again :)

    Hello,

i am using the latest version of parallels. I installed Vista Busines in an VM. Everything went fine and the speed is very good.

But my sound device is not recognized. I have a Macbook with 1 GB Ram.

I tried to install the drivers from Bootcamp but that does not work.
I tried to install Paralles Tools again but also no success.

Any hints or is sound not supported in Vista ?

    Thanks & Greets from Germany.

Stone187, did you install Vista from Boot Camp?
What did you mean "I tried to install the drivers from Bootcamp but that does not work."?
Did Parallels give you error some messages?
