I normally develop websites in OS X and test them on Windows using Parallels. I have an ASP.NET project that I'm working on and was wondering if someone could tell me how to view my site in OS X that is running on Windows at http://localhost:51666.

I do not have a firewall enabled on Windows and was unable to access it using the IP addresses that are listed in the Network Settings under Preferences in OS X.

That doesn't seem to be working for me. Do you have any other ideas?

Is your ASP.NET available thru the development environment or from the IIS server in your windows session?

If it is from your IIS make sure you have not set a restricted access zone.

What is the IP address in your windows session if you do an ipconfig?

My IP address when I do an ipconfig is 10.211.55.3.

I don't actually have IIS installed. I'm using the dev server in Visual Studio 2005, which gives me the URI: http://localhost:51666

    Have you tried http://10.211.55.3:51666 ?

You might also want to try to install IIS locally. I've had web pages which worked in the dev environment but had issues once tested on IIS. Mainly memory leaks which for some dnag reason were corrected while running from vs2005
