virtual file system pathname translation (\\.PSF to local)

It would be nice to have the pathname translated when opening a file via the virtual filesystem (from boot camp partition) with a windows program.

Let's say Parallels made the following virtual drive:
vfstool@fuse0 on /private/tmp/1767/C (fusefs, local, nodev, noexec, nosuid, synchronous, mounted by darkfader)
Then the Windows application gets the following pathname:
    \\.PSF\.Mac\private\tmp\1767\C\
Even though it can already access it locally from C:\

I hope this is clear enough.

    Hello Darkfader,

Could you let me know, what Windows application gets the pathname you indicated?
I would appreciate if you could give more details.
This is not common Parallels Desktop behavior.

    Best regards,

It was UltraEdit Studio. Perhaps I need to rebuild the application list? Or is that done with each new version?
Hmm... I also have a downloaded MacFUSE and ntfs-3g installed. Perhaps there's a mismatch in version.
I'll get more information at home.
