    Hi all, I have just upgraded to the latest version of Parallels but it seems that I am still unable to run Windows 7 which I use to have.

    There's a pop up that says.
    The Virtual Machine is not available.
    The virtual machine's files have been moved or deleted. If the files are on an external device, reconnect the device. You can also remove the virtual machine from the list or manually locate its files.

    What am I suppose to do for Windows 7 to work again like before? Should I even upgrade Parallels in the first place?

    Someone please help.

    Hi RoderichC, Locate your Windows 7 PVM on the Mac.
    Double click on the PVM file and your Windows should start. Also, refer to this article.

    Hi Arun, I have tried searching for .PVM or PVM via finder and spotlight but there isn't such file available.

  6. Hello RoderichC,
    Right-click Parallels icon in the Dock -> open Control Center -> right-click on your virtual machine and choose Show in Finder;
    If you are not able to find the Windows.PVM file then try to search using the finder by typing in your VM name.
    If you are still not able to find the PVM file then you might have accidently deleted it, just to make sure kindly check in your trash or try to check using the TimeMachine backup there you might find the PVM file.

    Is there anyway i can download the PVM file? I can't seem to find it anywhere. Tried doing a search in time machine and it's also nowhere to be found. Tried clicking on the control panel but nothing happens. What is this all about!????

    Dear RoderichC, please check in Trash folder for .pvm and let us know if you are able to find it.

    I have already upgraded to the latest version of parallels why is it that I still can't access windows 7??

  11. Hello RoderichC,
    It's not possible to download a PVM file but you can (re)install Windows OS if you have the Activation Key.
    It's like doing a fresh Windows OS installation.

    Hey RoderichC, If you are unable to find your PVM file anywhere on Mac , you may check your Time Machine backup for the Virtual Machine and restore the latest backup.
