I'm getting an error that says the below text when I try to open Vista. Can anyone help with this? I rebooted and didn't open any other programs and I'm still getting this error. Virtual machine cannot be started because of the following problem: Parallels Desktop is unable to access the virtual hard disk image file /Users/maestro1/Documents/Parallels/Microsoft Windows Vista/winvista.hdd. The file is used by other application. Please help, on deadline. Don't want to loose the data on the virtual hard drive, so I don't want to make any mistakes. Thank you.
To further explain my concerns, I have a mac mini with 2 gig's, Parallels 3.0 with the patch and running Vista premium home edition. It's run fairly smooth for several months but this mroning when opening the configuration window it says Vista is stopped. When I ask for it to start virtual machine it gives the error shown above.
Hey, We`ve got the KB article upon the issue: http://kb.parallels.com/en/4938 Please, follow the steps given out there.
