    Hi,

I converted a VMWare VM (which has XP SP3 installed in it) to Parallels using Transformer. According to Transformer program, the migration was successful.

When I open the new VM in Parallels desktop, it shows me the opening screen with settings, which seem to be OK, but when I click on "play" to run this VM, it takes me a to a series of screens which are asking me to install XP. According to the Parallels Getting Started Guide, these screen look like what you have to go through when creating a new VM.

In Transformer, I moved over the whole VM, and not just the disk.
The VM that I moved over runs fine in VMWare Fusion 2.
(This VM was originally created in VMWare Workstation XP. It was then "upgraded" in VMWare Fusion to run in Mac, before being migrated through Parallels Transformer)

Is there anything else I have to do to migrate a VMWare VM to Parallels, or is it just not possible?

    thx
