Is it still possible to move a VM between Parallels 3.0 Mac and Parallels on Windows?

With Parallels build 3188 on a Mac it was possible to move VMs to and from Parallels build 2112 on Microsoft Windows. Some adjustment was needed - the VM settings had to be fixed - but it definitely worked.

When upgrading to Parallels 3.0/Mac I received dire warnings that my VMs would be permanently modified when run and could never again be used with Parallels 2.5.

This obviously says VMs aren't portable between Macs running 3.0 and 2.5 any more, which is a problem. But it also implies that VMs are no longer portable between Parallels/Windows and Parallels/Mac, which is a fatal problem for me.

Is the warning about VM incompatibility on the Parallels upgrade just meaning that moving the VM takes some work (as it has before), or is it that it simply cannot be done? I'd expect to have to uninstall Parallels Tools from a VM before moving it to a new host, but is that no longer enough?
