    Hi!
When I attempt to connect to the internet on Windows using Windows Edge or Chrome, I get a Certificate Error -

"There's a problem with this website's security certificate
This might mean that someone's trying to fool you or steal any info you send to the server. You should close this site immediately.
    Go to my homepage instead
Continue to this webpage (not recommended) "

Sometimes I can "Continue to this webpage" and sometimes not.

Since any internet connection attempt stops at the Cert Error message, Windows and antivirus updates time out with no updates completed.

There are No Problems on the MAC side of the computer with internet or applications.

    I am running:
    Windows 10 Pro
    V 1607
    OS Build: 14393.1770

    On a
Parallels virtual machine; PD 13 and reverted to PD 12

    Using a:
    MAC Book Pro (MBP)
    OS 10.10.5 Yosemite

    Defenses
    MBP
    Avast Free v13.4
    No Threats Found

    Windows
    Trustport to Windows Defender
    Comodo Firewall to Windows Firewall

I have run Windows AV using its out of date Signature Base - No Threats Found
I have run ESET Online Scanner with Updated Signatures - No Threats Found

    Corrective Actions taken so far:
    Reset System Time
    No Joy

Reset Internet Properties under Advanced Tab
    No Joy

Ran System and Security - Fix Problems with Windows Update
    Issues Found:
Service registration is missing or corrupt
Potential Windows Update Database error detected
WIndows Update components must be repaired
Resolving Problems - All 3 Fixed
    Attempted Update - Failed
Rebooted - Attempt Update - Failed

Troubleshoot problems - Network and Internet
    Networtk Adapter >
Computer appears to be correctly configured but DNS is not responding
Checked IPV 4 and all settings are checked as 'Automatically'
Other Tab settings appear to be Default Settings.
    No Action Taken

    Ran WindowsUpdateDiagnostic - wu170509.diagcab
Receive the error code 0x803C0103 and could not continue.

    Ran: sfc /scannow
    No Joy

Ran Deployment Image Servicing and Management Tool v 10.0.14393.0
100.0% The restore operation completed successfully.
Could not connect to the Update Service

I have reverted to PD 12 and copied a known good Backup PVM (under PD 12) to the MBP PD 12
    Results - No Change

I have created a new PVM (Windows 7 Pro) on PD 12
    Results - No Change

I am completely out of ideas.

    Please help.

    Thank you for your assistance.

Hi, it's Microsoft Windows certificate issue and it is not directly reported Parallels Desktop. To work around this issue,

    1. In Windows Internet Explorer, click Continue to this website (not recommended).
A red Address Bar and a certificate warning appear.
    2. Click the Certificate Error button to open the information window.
    3. Click View Certificates, and then click Install Certificate.
    4. On the warning message that appears, click Yes to install the certificate.

    Hi Chris!

Thank you so much for your Reply!
(I followed your steps, above with the following results:
    Step 1 - OK
Step 2 - Does not happen, instead a message appears that says
    "Website Problem
There's a problem with this website's security certificate. This might mean that someone's trying to fool you or steal any info you send to the server.
You should close this site immediately"
This happens in Chrome and Edge
    Process aborted.

    I went to:
    Console Root\Certificates (Local Computer)\Trusted Root Certification Authorities\Certificates
There were 52 total Certificates, six ware Expired, including two of Parallels and two from Microsoft for "Time Stamping."

Is there someplace to go to download current CAs for these expired certs?

A sincere "Thank You Sir" for your assistance.

Thank you Chris but that did not work (article referred to Win 7).

But, problem solved - was Avast AV interference from MAC side of VM causing Website Certification Errors on Windows 10 - UFB!
