    Hello,
I have a PC with Windows 10 installed on it at my work and I bought a new Mac. I would like to migrate Windows to the Parallel Desktop installed on my Mac but I am wondering what will happen to the PC after the migration? Is a colleague of mine going to be able to use the PC with the same Window licence?
Will the PC light and be able to work at all?

    Thanks for your help,
    Federico

Hi, you can check this KB article for more information about migration using Parallels Desktop 12.
Please let us know if you have any additional questions. We will be glad to help.

Thank you Maria! I have read the article, however I am not entirely sure I understand...
Does it mean that the PC might not work after I transfer windows to Parallel desktop?
    Thanks,
    Federico

You PC will work as usual and also you will have Windows as VM on your Mac

Dear FedericoL1, VM means virtual machine. You are running Windows 10 as a virtual machine on Parallels Desktop.

VM is the short term for virtual machine.

    Fantastic! :)
I would have one final question, I hope you don't mind replying: Do you think that another colleague would still be able to login and work with her account on the PC (from which Windows was transferred to my Parallel Desktop) while I use Parallel desktop?
Thanks so much for your assistance!
    Federico

Dear Federico, since you were migrated(copied) your Windows from PC into Parallels Desktop, your colleague would still be able to login and work with her account on the PC while you use Parallels Desktop.

Hi, I have a simple question - I've just transferred my PC to my MacBook Pro in Parallels which is great, but it's heavy on the resources. I'd like to trim the install down and remove many of the apps and programs I brought across, but am worried that if I do, it'll affect the original PC. So my question is: Is the install on the MBP independent to the original PC or will they Sync at some stage and I lose the deleted apps on the PC as well. Thanks.
