I just purchased Parallels desktop for Mac for my Macbook. I did it specifically to run Quicken and for two IE web applications I use for work. I installed Win2k SP4 because I had it. Everything is working great except I can't connect a USB exHD. I've been searching the forums, and found the article referring to v2.5, but I'm not sure what version I have. I only say that because that workaround for v2.5 doesn't appear to be applicable to what I am running. When I go to 'about Parallels" there is no version, only 'build 1970'.

I am a very new Mac user. This Parallels software appears do be ale to do everything I need it to do, except for this USB problem. Win2k also seems to run faster on this Mac than on the PC I had it loaded on before. I would appreciate any advice, as I have approximately 10 years of financial data on this USB exHD I would like to import into Quicken running on the VM.

    Thanks,
    Ken

Also, Parallels will not do anything if I check for updates.
