I am trying to decide where to keep a FOLDER that I have been using on my windows desktop that has information for a 3D Modeling Software program that I am running on Windows 7 via Parallels. I would like to RELOCATE this folder to my Mac side. It would be much easier to use from here. Right now I believe I have folder sharing set but I am not sharing the Desktops because I find this just too confusing on the VM side. Does anyone know if there is a "best" place to store this and if so how I should set my sharing and/or how this file would then get backed up? Does anyone know if there could be any issues associated with this 3D software trying to "jump the gap" in some way in the sense that it may get confused with a FILE PATH or some soft coded or hard coded information? I mean, there are various types of files that this software needs to access and I am trying to figure out if there is a good reason to keep this data on the Windows side even though this makes it hard to find and backup from the Mac side. I am really finding it not helpful to share the desktop between the two OS's Thanks for any help.
