    Hello,
I have an macbook air 128gb and i still use parallels 11.
I use a modded windows 7 iso image that has been trimmed to 700mb. On my PC the full installation takes 2.7 GB.
But when i try to install it in parallels it tells me that the virtual machine is going to take around 16 GB.

    Why is that ?
    Thanks

    Hello @cris ,

While installing Windows 7 , the minimum system requirement would be 16 GB, it does not matter if you trim the ISO image file because after the installation it will get expanded to the required size.
    Thanks

I have only 25gb on my mac ssd. Is there a way to shrink the partition ? Before or after installation?
    Thanks a lot :)

    Hello @cris,
It is not possible to shrink before or after installation.
    Thanks
