The system requirements note DirectX 9 compatible graphic card, Windows Media Player 10, etc.:

I want to use the software to transfer VHS tapes to DVD. I have a MacBook 2.2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4 GB RAM, running OS X 10.5.7., Parallels Desktop 4.0.3844, Windows XP Home Edition.

    Thanks in advance.

    Roxio Media Creator 9 too?

Not sure about running Roxio's VHS-DVD SW through parallels. I'm running it on my iMac, no problems.

However, I did just load Roxio Creator 9.0 into Parallels 4.0 on my iMAC. I'm getting an error when I
try to launch the Advanced DVD Creation saying my Video Adapter does not support the full DirectX 9.0
functionality and that I should update it. I'm getting similar issues with PowerDVD as well and Windows
Media player when trying to play a commercial DVD. Windows Player says it
cannot pay the DVD b/c it cannot provide copy protection on the Analog TV output.

I'm using Vista Home Basic as the guest OS. Running dxdiag shows I have DirectX 10.0 which looks like
an update to DirectX 9.0c courtesy of MS. Not exactly sure how to proceed as the video drive is Parallel.

Would really appreciate any help possible. I can post more info if needed. My ultimate goal in this
was to load Windows Blu-Ray authoring SW (MAC-based Blu-Ray authoring isn't terribly great just yet).

    Thanks, Steve
