I bought a new HP OfficeJet 7000 (USB) to use on my 2009 vintage, Mac Mini running Snow Leopard, Parallels 5 for the Mac, and Win 7 as my Quest OS. The Win 7 printer driver stalls during installation and then ends with a fatal error message. I've tried using both the driver that came with the printer and downloading the current driver from HP's web site. No luck. On the bright side, this new printer works well from the Mac OS on my Mac Mini. I'm also successfully using Win 7 and Bonjour for Windows to connect to an HP1320 LaserJet connected to another Mac computer on my wireless network. The HP1320 driver installed normally under Win 7. Is the HP OfficeJet 7000 not ready for Win 7 under Parallels or am I doing something wrong?
