I have been running Win 7 on PD 7 for months. Main applications MS Office Pro and Sharescope. Suspended the VM last night and resumed this morning. Machine spent a long time trying and failing to create a snapshot and then reported problem ID 53 and then that a file required to connect to the hard disk does not exist of I have no permission to use it. Then that the VM had no OS and I should re-install from the source disk in the optical disk drive. I have no disk drive but do have a downloaded copy of the OS.

If I do that, will I lose the installed applications and have to re-install them?

Since I have a second Mac with the same or a very similar VM on it, can I import that instead?

    Any advice gratefully received.
