Problem: After a period of inactivity on the guest OS, applications' first read/write attempt to \\.psf doesn't work. Subsequent accesses work as expected.

This problem most frequently manifests in Outlook (which I have open all the time). The PST file is kept on \\.psf. After a period of inactivity, a new incoming email triggers a rule in Outlook that requires a copy of the email be stored in the PST file. Outlook fails on the attempt to write to the PST file and the rule is disabled. A second access to the PST works as expected and the rule can be enabled again without issue.

This problem is not isolated to Outlook (thus the post to Parallels forum instead of Microsoft's forums). Other applications (including non-Microsoft apps) that attempt to read/write to \\.psf after a period of inactivity stall and fail. A second attempt works as expected.

Because the \\.psf share does not require authentication, it should automatically reattach when an attempt to write happens.

Anyone else seen this? Friends at Parallels? Help?

    Many Thanks,
    -Steve
