Win7, Ult-64bit BootCamp - SLOW shutdown
Installing Parallels introduces a TERRIBLY long shutdown process when running Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit on an early 2010 iMac in Boot Camp.
This is Parallels 6, latest build downloaded this morning. It was also occurring with the previous build.
When running Win7 via Parallels on the Mac side, shutdown of Windows is normal.
When running Win7 on its own by booting into the Boot Camp partition, shutdown takes up near ten minutes.
I have uninstalled Parallels. This does not correct the issue.
When I tried a Parallels installation once before and ran into this problem, I uninstalled, did a System Restore in Windows, and brought everything back to normal. This time, however, System Restore isn't working (i.e., the actual System Restore process is not completing, so I'm stuck with the system status post-Parallels), though I don't have the exact error message in front of me at the moment.
Any idea how to get shutdown time back to normal (under 30 seconds or so?), or at least how to trace the issue? I might then try getting Parallels going again, but as it is now, it is entirely useless.
