The same license restrictions found in Windows 7 apply to Windows 98, including OEM and non-OEM licenses, so no, you can't install it 'freely', you also can't buy it because it has been discontinued, unless you happen to own or acquire a non-OEM license. Of course, Windows 98 (SE) doesn't have all the license checking mechanism found in more recent versions of Windows, but it does ask for a product key. I did read something on the internet about a generic windows 98 key that MS itself released. Can't vouch for the truth of this.
if is OEM win98se came with PC, running yet on my very old system...can installed? if use http://help.wugnet.com/windows2/Generic-Windows-98-Product-Key-ftopict490835.html
Are you asking me legally or technically? AFAIK, No to legally. Technically? It's up to you to try it or not.
In every install of a GUEST OS like Windows that requires a KEY, this KEY must be inserted prior the installation? what means that an update feature is "experimental"? ubuntu 12.04,... If install now (not download trial yet as of this post) on my Mac the ubuntu 12.04 should run (all features) - 3GB/LION? Parallels then what is best to install 32 or 64? 64bit parallels implies run both 32/64 guest OSs?
1. I don't work for Parallels, I'm a Parallels user helping other users, so it's not my concern if you want to buy the product or not. 2. I've answered what I could make of the original question. 3. I don't understand any of your following questions. So, if anyone else is reading this and understands what he wants to know, please feel free to intervene. I'm out of this thread.
I try to question place more learly In every install of a GUEST OS like Windows, to Mac OS X (PARALLELS) LION, that THIS WINDOWS OS requires a KEY, this KEY must be inserted prior the installation ON THE PARALLELS? what means that an update feature is "experimental" IN UPDATE.PDF Document in manuals page list of pdfs? ubuntu 12.04,... If install now (not download trial yet as of this post) on my Mac(Lion) the ubuntu 12.04 should run (all features) - 3GB ram/LION never mind is in state "experimental"? Parallels what is best to install 32 or 64 ver of it (and more stable..? how download 64bit Parallels for mac?)? 64bit parallels for mac implies run both 32/64 guest OSs?
I'll try to answer this as you have seem to posted the same thing repeatedly in various forums, and I believe no one else will answer you. 1. No. The key can be inserted on Windows. The key is only asked for before if you use the 'Express Install' feature that can be disabled (there's a check box in one of the installation wizard screens to disable it). 2. Experimental means some features might not work as expected. That it hasn't been tested enough. 3. Yes, it will run. 3 GB of RAM is below recommended, you might experience slowness. Recommended minimum RAM is 4 GB. Why don't you just try it and test the trial and see it for yourself? 4. Parallels is 64 bit, there's no 32 bit version of Parallels. Parallels 7 only works with CPUs that support 64 bit. This also means it supports both 32 and 64 bit OSs. But with just 3 GB RAM I would only install 32 bit OSs.
CAN I UPGRADE EASILY PARALLELS 7 FOR MAC itself? Any GUEST OSs (like vista home or ubuntu) can also updated/upgraded eg to SP2 for vista?
Yes and yes. Using CAPITAL LETTERS will not make your questions easier to understand. (These questions are ridiculous. I'm not answering any more of these. If you have any more questions use the trial to get to know the product first.)
One last Question "how install vista on Lion Parallels" I am ready install trial on my Mac, well can you tell or provide URLs, for the two ways install vista on Parallels, in my core 2 duo Macbook pro 3GB ram, how is to install a windows App eg Adobe Dreamweaver for windows that require ACTIVATION KEY, How install i.likeMac ii.separateWindow (in both ways)? This counts as Dreamweaver key used for laptop so (if laptop/desktop license) left a windows Dreamweaver desktop license? i.likeMac ii.separateWindow ... what you recommend?
feel/how & environment of installing an App(eg Chrome browser or Dreamweaver) either what to search in user guide to find my answer... Q: feel/how & environment of installing an App(eg Chrome browser or Dreamweaver) either in vista (likeMac) or in vista (separateWindow)? I am ready install but do NOT know how best install vista...
I can only suggest trial and error. I'm sorry, I won't be answering any more questions on this thread, or your questions anywhere else, nothing personal but the language barrier and the lack of a proper thought structure in the questions is frustrating and leads to a never ending conversation.
