Window Manager is currently failing to snap Firefox windows on my MacBook Pro running Sonoma 14.4.1 and Parallels Toolbox 6.6.2. Every other application snaps as expected.

I forgot to provide the Firefox version: 124.0.2

    Hello Ian,

Please reproduce the issue and collect a technical report (click the Parallels Toolbox icon > Settings (Gear) icon > Help > Send technical data > check "Attach screenshots..." > press Send Report) and send the report's 9-digit ID in reply to this post.

I'm not sure how screenshots will show that firefox isn't snapping. Would a video be better, or is the main concern just getting the technical report?

I've today noticed the same thing happening with Outlook, so now it's Outlook and Firefox, but no other app seems to be impacted, including Word, Excel, Edge, Parallels desktop, Finder, PathFinder, Contacts, ToDo, VS Code, Citrix Workspace, MS Teams.

I am experiencing this same problem. Mac OS 12.7.4, Toolbox v 6.6.2 (5023), Firefox 125.0.3.

I have noticed the following behavior. When I drag a Firefox window to one of the hot spots the window is resized however it remains partially off-screen. IE it doesn't get re-positioned to where it should go. Also, if I use the drop down menu from the menu bar to move a Firefox window the window is only resized however, if it select the same option a second time it then moves the window to it's correct position!

It appears as though Window Manager works in two steps, first a resize then a reposition and for some reason Firefox is interfering with the second step.

    Hi Derek,

I hadn't tried the menubar drop-down, but when I do, I get mixed results. The first try doesn't work, but the second sometimes does, but not always. Do you have the same issue with Outlook?

    Hi Ian,
I don't use Outlook so I don't know. With the drop-down it seems if you keep hitting the same option it finally settles in on the desired result. Hopefully our feedback will help them get it sorted.

I've today noticed now that Outlook windows also do not snap, although other Microsoft365 apps do. That's perhaps not too surprising as I understand the code-base for Outlook on Mac to have come from a different source originally (I think it was originally called Entourage or something similar).

In the end I gave up an have been using BetterSnapTool. Not sure if the issue has been fixed in Window Manager.

Thanks for the info, IanL2. I'll take a look at BetterSnapTool. I haven't seen any fix for the issue in Window Manager.

It's not free - but it is cheap, and more importantly it works reliably.
